HeyWe’re doing ok. Kind of getting frustrated with the whole not finding investigators thing. But we still have faith that someone is being prepared to hear the Gospel, we just have to find them. Thanks a lot for fasting for us, we too fasted that we would find more investigators. So far we haven’t found any, even though we’ve been trying harder than ever to. But that’s probably the reason why the Lord is giving us this trial period, so that we can learn to exercise more faith in Him. If there’s anything I’ve learned in my mission so far, it’s that there is always a lesson to be learned. The branch has also started (very slight start, but better than nothing) exercising more faith. Our Branch mission leader (O ya, Scott was called to assistant Branch Mission Leader) has started up a B of M reading program in which everyone is the Branch is given a schedule of chapters to read. It will bolster the faith of the Branch as a whole and then we’ll see a real increase in missionary work. As for Seymour, it’s pretty cool. Home of the world’s largest hamburger you know. It took 33 cows to make it. It’s just about their only claim to fame. The town shuts down at about 7 so when we get home at 9 there’s nobody outside. It’s pretty sad when a towns only night-life is the missionaries :) But we did get our furniture. Definitely nothing special, but at least we have mattresses and a microwave now. No Jeremy isn’t meeting with us. In fact he flew back to Mass. yesterday.... Anyways, the dinner with the Catholic family went pretty good. They are really cool people and are strong in their faith. They would be great members..... Through all these inter-faith experiences I’ve come to have a much greater appreciation for the truth of the Gospel, and that I was born into it. One more story. Peter, a man in the Branch, was telling us about this Bible study he attended; how he had multiple opportunities to bear his testimony. We asked if we could go with him and he agreed. So last Friday we headed into Green Bay for the Bible Study, thinking maybe we could find some people to teach. Lets just say it was interesting. First off, it was non-denominational so everybody had their own opinions (besides me, Elder Stevens, and Peter).....But we did have one man who I could tell saw something different in us and would make everyone be quite so that we could speak. When we spoke the Spirit entered the room for those few moments and people actually listened for once. By the end however the Spirit had far fled from the room...... Anyways we were able to get a couple of good points in and there were a couple of people we think might listen to us. ...Thanks a lot for the package! It was just what I needed. ...But we did have some fun this week. I already told Matthew this, but when we were trying to find a potential investigator in this richy neighborhood (he wasn’t there) we found a huge frozen, flooded yard. So we got out of the car and started sliding around, it was awesome. Brightened up our otherwise uneventful day....don’t worry I’m happy. There is always a storm before the rainbow. Came up with that one on my own :) But it is true. ...we’re bound to find 30 investigators this week.Have a great weekLove
